At the moment we run regular online Cagora Meetings and Training sessions in our Voice over Internet technology (VoIP) Web Conferencing Rooms which you are most welcome to attend. These rooms are yet another Free service available to you and other members and are provided in partnership with TalkingCommunities.com.
Our Web Conferencing rooms have some nifty interactive features where you can: - Text chat or speak to other people in the room
Look at web pages and PowerPoint presentations that are presented by the room moderator Have the audio and web pages from each session recorded so absent members can visit our Archive Library to catch up on what they missed
Our Web Conferencing Rooms are not open all the time because they require a trained Volunteer to co-ordinate the opening hours and also to moderate the session. Later in 2008 we’ll be allocating the 1950s Music Community acess to a Conferencing Room where you’ll be able to meet, interact and network with people from around the world for Free. In fact, each of our LocalWorld and World of Interest Communities will be allocated timeslots in dedicated rooms.
We’re looking for Volunteers to run Webinars (web seminars) where experts will share their skills and knowledge with other members of the Community by running PowerPoint slideshow presentations in the rooms. So if you’d like to volunteer for any of these roles, please visit VolunteersTeam . Later in 2008, we’ll also be running the International Podcasting Expo as a Joint Venture with Penny Haynes of 1stPod Publishing. Using the Web Conferencing technology, we developed a 3-D Virtual Expo area where we held several Expos in the past. Once we’ve gained some momentum and established revenue streams that support the overhead cost of running Expo events, we’ll run an Expo and Seminar program for the various LocalWorlds and Worlds of Interest.
